By the end of September, one lucky school will be £1,000 richer simply by having visited the new Shakespeare 4 Kidz website.The company, which specialises in making Shakespeare easy-to-understand and accessible for junior- and senior-aged school children, has just started an eight-month tour of UK theatres with its new musical show "Shakespeare 4 Kidz HAMLET" At the same time it has relaunched its website with a complete new look and much improved functionality and resources for teachers. To celebrate the launch of the new site, Shakespeare 4 Kidz are running a FREE competition with a top prize of £1,000 cash - to be used by the winning school in any way it wishes. To enter and have a chance of winning the money, schools must visit the site and answer three simple questions. The draw will be made on 30th September. The new Shakespeare 4 Kidz website contains not just information on its theatre shows, educational workshops, show scripts and videos, but also a growing free online resource for teachers and students. Teachers can download free comprehension sheets to be used in the classroom or for homework; the questions can also be seen in multiple choice quiz format or as computer games that can be played at home or used on the whiteboards in school. As leaders in Shakespearean education for over ten years, Shakespeare 4 Kidz are committed to supporting teachers with FREE online resources not just to enhance a visit to the show but also to help their own research for use in the classroom. To this end the S4K education arm run school workshops for all ages and provide INSET training for teachers. Shakespeare 4 Kidz Hamlet is currently touring England until April 2008, and will then tour overseas to Dubai and the Gulf region, with plans for visits to India, South African and the USA in the pipeline.
