Shakespeare 4 Kidz - CANNES 2010: Elsinore Films announces S4K3D

Elsinore Films Producer Mark Thomas unveiled the company�s first project, �S4K3D�, at the Cannes Film Festival today.

�S4K3D� is the name given to the company�s production of the Shakespeare 4 Kidz musical theatre adaptations which are being shot in High Definition and 3D.

There are three titles in the first slate of films commissioned by Elsinore: Macbeth which will be directed by Hollywood veteran Michael Elias, Hamlet directed by double BAFTA winner John Godber, and Romeo & Juliet by Nick Copus.

Elsinore are shooting the movies back-to-back commencing in the summer of 2010 and are raising finance in a combination of a unique triple-offering via the UK�s Enterprise Investment Scheme alongside traditional film financing methods.

Elsinore have received the blessing of HMRC to offer qualifying investors the opportunity to invest across all three productions in the first slate of three movies through three separate production companies: Macbeth (EIS) Ltd, Hamlet (EIS) Ltd and Romeo & Juliet (EIS) Ltd. The company is working closely with Almas Capital Partners of Mayfair to complete production financing.

Elsinore Films was born of the combined experience of theatre company �Shakespeare 4 Kidz� (S4K) and movie house �Ballpark Productions Partnership� (Ballpark). S4K has produced hundreds of shows that have been performed to millions of school children and adult theatre-goers, both in the UK and abroad; whereas Ballpark CEO, Mark Thomas, continues to be instrumental in the production, financing and distribution of feature films and has worked on over 50 movies in the UK, Canada, USA, Poland, Ireland, Spain and the Isle of Man.

Mark Thomas explained: �The EIS element of the production financing is officially launching on 26th March 2010, and will raise �2 million towards the �3.5 million production budget of each title.��
