S4K are taking their hit production of The Tempest to Gibraltar later this spring for a week of performances at The John Mackintosh Hall. The shows which have been arranged in association with the Gibraltar Ministry of Culture will run from Monday 9th to Thursday 12th June, with performance times still to be confirmed. Further information will appear here soon.

Cynthia Eagle from Gibraltar’s Culture Ministry said, “The Ministry is keen to encourage the appreciation and enjoyment of Shakespearian drama and literature in Gibraltar. We feel it will be a valuable educational experience for the younger members of our community and, therefore, we are pleased to be able to offer our school children S4K's "The Tempest" as part of this year's Spring Festival."

S4K Founder Julian Chenery added “We are delighted to be making our first visit to Gibraltar as part of an extended 2008 international touring season.”

The current UK tour of S4K Hamlet with S4K The Tempest ends at the Liverpool Empire Theatre on Tuesday 15th April. The company then start an international tur of S4K Hamlet to the Gulf region, playing theatres in Bahrain, Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. In the autumn a new UK tour of S4K's Romeo and Juliet commences at the Mansfield Palace Theatre on Tuesday 9th September and tours with S4K The Tempest until Easter 2009.
