S4K's Macbeth - Dubai Preview (3) - Eye of Dubai

FROM THE EYE OF DUBAI

ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH FOR MACBETH?

Are you ready for a truly wicked experience? Then get ready – it’s coming to Dubai soon.

Shakespeare’s Macbeth is probably the most feared play in the world, cursed with bad luck throughout history.

England’s King James banned it for five years and death and disaster have followed in its footsteps.

This dark and daring play is about a Scottish warrior who is egged on by the prophecies of three witches and an ambitious wife to murder his way to the throne.

The drama is full of spooky spells which are better than anything Harry Potter and his friends could magic up.

There are bloody battles, gruesome ghosts and even a forest which moves. Plus local boys who have proved they’ve got star quality will be taking it in turns to appear with the fantastic British cast to play the son of Macduff. There’s laughter too, with a funny porter who tells knock knock jokes.
Macbeth scared a king. Are you brave enough to see it?

If you are, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the white-knuckle rollercoaster experience. Lydia Conway of the London Evening Standard described S4K’s last production of Shakespeare 4 Kidz Macbeth as "One of the most exciting versions of the Scottish play (either for adults or for children) that this ex-theatre editor has ever seen."

This exciting show is presented by the UK’s much-loved Shakespeare 4 Kidz who know exactly how to make Shakespeare a favourite with all ages. It’s been a huge 5 star hit for its national tour at home, with parents, pupils and the press unanimous in their praise.

S4K’s plays use the most famous quotes from the original texts, weave them into modern language, add some songs and dances into the mix and the result is a two hour entertainment which everyone – even the youngest primary kids – can understand.
