Palace hosts Romeo and Juliet for Younger Audiences

Mansfield Chad

A UNIQUE musical production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet takes place at Mansfield's Palace Theatre this week aimed specifically at children.

The production is being put on by the Shakespeare 4 Kidz company, which aims to make children more familliar with the famous playwright's work.

Aimed at children studying Shakespeare at Key Stage 2 and 3, the production mixes Shakespearean and modern-english language with songs and music to tell the story of the two star-crossed lovers.

The play will run until 12th September at 10am and 1.30pm ever day, along with a special late night performance at 7pm tonight to allow children to take parents along, too.

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £10 concs and £9 for children, with family tickets available for £39.

Tickets and more information are available from the box office on 01623 633133 or online at www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre.
