| Junior Hamlet makes Palladium Debut |
|
As you would expect, James' family - along with several Mitre Players - were at the Palladium to see how he looked in a pair of curtains and whether he knew that "Doh!" was not just a Homer Simpson expletive. Depite seeing Mitre Player Mary Holton (the one in the bright yellow!) sitting slap bang in the middle of the front row when making his first entrance, we are delighted to hear that mountains were duly climbed and favourite things remembered. Connie did OK too! S4K are also pleased to see that 13 year-old Peter O'Brien from Reigate is in the current cast. Peter has played the Indian Prince in our UK touring version of Shakespeare 4 Kidz A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Well done to you both! |

S4K ROMEO: "It was WONDERFUL! I especially loved: the way that music and humour were used; the use of the famous "Romeo Romeo..." line on the drunken homeward journey to pre-empt Juliet's speech and the way that the use of modern language was interspersed with some of Shakespeare's actual words and the way you ended upbeat to take the edge off the tragic ending for them. FAB! ... And the biggest plus was that you didn't fall into the trap of being patronising." |
