FREE Hamlet resources for teachers

The first of our FREE Hamlet resources for teachers has gone live on the Shakespeare 4 Kidz website.

The downloadable comprehension sheets tell nine different episodes from the story of Hamlet and are designed to be used by junior children in Years 5 and 6.

Each 500 word episode is followed by 20 short comprehension questions. These can be viewed either as a web page or downloaded as an A4 pdf sheet for photocopying use in the classroom.

The 20 questions will also shortly appear in a multiple choice format and in the ever popular games format, linked to a penalty shoot-out game. In the games and multiple choice format, the questions can be linked to the classroom whiteboard for the whole group to work interactively either together or individually.

Shakespeare 4 Kidz are dedicated to providing FREE teacher resources to add value to the Shakespeare 4 Kidz experience. The forthcoming tour of Shakespeare 4 Kidz Hamlet opens in September 2007 and will tour the UK until April 2008, before embarking on a six week international tour.

The new Hamlet resources are available here

What they say about us:

S4K TEMPEST: "I took my six year old to see The Tempest at De Montfort Hall today - and he absolutely LOVED it! I had been a bit concerned about whether a six year old would get anything from Shakespeare (or, worse, be put off forever) but we had a fantastic time and he understood and enjoyed every bit of the show."
