Audition information - S4K's Macbeth

Please find below information about our Macbeth auditions.

Submissions are currently being received by co-producer Carolyn Chenery via the Shakespeare 4 Kidz Production Office. Company members who must be able to sing, dance and act need to also show their ability to work as a member of the Shakespeare 4 Kidz touring team.

 DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS WEDNESDAY 3 JUNE 2009


Rehearsals commence in Oxted on Monday 17 August 2009, with the production week at The Capitol in Horsham.
The show opens at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield on Tuesday 9 September and runs until Friday 27 November 2009.

First round auditions are held by appointment in 1-hour slots at the CAA in Covent Garden. Candidates will first be asked to perform a short piece of choreography in groups of approximately 8 people, and will then be seen individually to perform a prepared song and a Shakespearean monologue.

Recalls are held in Oxted during July.

For the London auditions:

  1. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre style song

  2. Please prepare a Shakespearean monologue (not neccessarily from Macbeth)

  3. Please be prepared to do a short bit of choreography with Joseph Fowler, our Asst Director/Choreographer

(Our payscale is in line with current Equity rates. In addition, company members receive hotel accommodation/breakfast, and travel around the UK is provided in corporate-style cruiser coach.)
